Long...Long time No Blog!!!

Hello again after a Long Long Dry spell....Not sure of why???  I guess the simplest answer is
Life got in the way!.... I am still creating...Rug Hooking...painting all kinds of things...boxes being
one of my favorite things to paint...Cigar boxes...little boxes that I make...Bookbinding...Painting some small canvases...something new for me. Creating has been a wonderful thing for me...and
Pinterest has been an inspiration...getting to see what everyone else is doing....

Returning from India

My friends....just have returned from a 3 week trip to India...may take me a few posts to tell all about it. Incredible journey!!! It is indeed a 3rd world country...many conveniences we take for granted are not to be in India. I have to say the Indian people were wonderful....I felt very humbled by them. And also felt quite safe....ventured out on my own several times and never was apprehensive about my safety. It was a very educational trip...we visited tea plantations...saw how tea was grown and harvested....cashew groves....a big thing in India....rice fields were plentiful as rice is a staple with the people there. We ate lots of rice...the meals were very spicy and too much for my stomach...also Johns....but they have lots and lots of fruit....banana trees...pineapples...

oranges....so many natural resources that no one will starve. The people are mostly vegetarians...so not too much meat on our menus...mostly chicken. Cows are sacred and are wandering the streets everywhere...but not on our menus!! So many things to share...I rode an elephant with a friend I met on our tour...we are now elephant riding buddies! This young lady elephant was so wide...I had to straddle her like a horse so I truly thought I would crack in half...it was necessary as we had to put our feet in the stirrups...could not ride side-saddle!!
